> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://docs.adclear.ai/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # Command palette > Search your workspace, jump to any page and run actions from the keyboard with ⌘K. ## Overview The command palette lets you find promotions, claims, rules, policies and disclaimers, go to any page in Adclear, and run common actions without leaving the keyboard. Open it from anywhere in Adclear: * Press **⌘K** on Mac or **Ctrl+K** on Windows. Press it again to close. * Or select the search icon at the top of the sidebar, next to the workspace switcher. The shortcut works while you're typing in a search box or form field. It doesn't work inside a comment or other rich-text editor, where **⌘K** inserts a link. > [!NOTE] > > The command palette is enabled per organisation. If you don't see the search icon, speak to your Adclear contact. External uploaders and external reviewers don't have the command palette. ## Searching Type at least two characters to search. Results are grouped by type: **Promotions**, **Claims**, **Rules**, **Policies** and **Disclaimers**, with up to five of each. A promotion's status shows at the end of its row. You only see the types you have access to. For example, if your role can't view rules, rules don't appear in your results. See [How roles work](https://docs.adclear.ai/how-roles-work.md). Select a result, or highlight it and press **Enter**, to open it. ### Narrowing to one type To search only one type, highlight its page under **Navigation** (for example **Claims**) and press **Tab**. The type appears as a chip above the search box, and you get up to ten results of that type. A few matches from the other types still show underneath, under **Found in…**. To search everything again, press **Backspace** in an empty search box, or select **Search everywhere**. ### Previewing a promotion Highlight a promotion and press **⌘Y** (**Ctrl+Y** on Windows) to open a preview beside the results. It shows the promotion's file with its status, format, jurisdiction, version, financial promotion flag, created date and deadline. Press **⌘Y** again to hide it. A promotion with variations shows **⇥ variations** at the end of its row. Press **Tab** to open the preview, then use **←** and **→** to move between variants and **Enter** to open the one you're viewing. ## Going to pages and settings With an empty search box, the palette lists what you can do: | Section | What's in it | | - | - | | **Recent** | The last eight results and pages you opened from the palette in this workspace, on this browser. | | **Navigation** | The top-level pages in your sidebar. Sub-pages, such as a promotion status or a monitoring channel, aren't listed. | | **Create** | **New Promotion**, if your role can create promotions. | | **Settings** | Each settings page you have access to. | | **Switch workspace** | Your other workspaces, if you belong to more than one. | | **Actions** | **Copy current URL** and **Open Settings**. | Type to filter these by name. Pages, settings and actions appear in the results alongside matching records. ## Actions on the page you're viewing When you open the palette from a promotion or claim, the record shows as a chip above the search box and its actions lead the list. Searching still covers your whole workspace. To remove the chip, press **Backspace** in an empty search box. **Promotion** | Section | Actions | | - | - | | **Review** | **Submit for Review**, **Resubmit for Review**, **Approve**, **Reject**, **Request Changes**, **Escalate** and **Assign reviewer**, where they apply to the promotion and your role | | **Manage** | **Export**, **Add new version**, **Archive promotion** or **Restore promotion**, and **Delete promotion** (archived promotions only) | | **Quick actions** | **Copy link to this promotion**, **All promotions** and **New Promotion** | These are the same actions as the buttons on the promotion page, with the same rules about who can use them. **Claim** | Section | Actions | | - | - | | **This page** | **Export linked promotions…**, if your role can export promotions and the claim belongs to this workspace | | **Quick actions** | **Copy link to this claim** and **All claims** | You can also get a record's quick actions from search. Highlight a promotion, claim, rule, policy or disclaimer in the results and press **Tab**. The record becomes the chip, with its quick actions, such as copying its link. ## Bulk actions When you've selected rows in a table, the palette shows **Bulk actions · N selected** with the same actions as the bar above the table. They run on the rows you selected. ## Exporting from the palette On some pages, the palette offers an export of what's on the page, under **This page**: | Page | Palette entry | Who sees it | | - | - | - | | Promotions | **Export promotions…** | Roles that can export promotions | | Claims | **Export claims…** | Compliance Admins, where the claims export add-on is enabled | | A claim | **Export linked promotions…** | Roles that can export promotions. Not shown for a claim shared in from another workspace, because its promotions belong to that workspace. | The palette doesn't give you any extra export access. Each entry appears only if you could already export that data from Adclear, and the file is the same one the page's **Export** button produces. Open the export** Open the palette on the page and select **Export promotions…**, **Export claims…** or **Export linked promotions…**. **2. Refine the filters** The export starts with the page's current filters, apart from any the export can't apply, such as **Self-approved** on the Promotions page. A claim's linked promotions start with just the promotions linked to that claim. Under **Applied filters**, select a filter to remove it. Under **Add a filter**, select a filter and choose its values. Type to find a filter or value. **3. Export** The top row shows how many records match, for example **Export 42 promotions**. Select it to download the file. Refining filters in the palette doesn't change the filters on the page. ## Keyboard shortcuts | Shortcut | What it does | | - | - | | **⌘K** / **Ctrl+K** | Open or close the palette | | **↑** **↓** | Move through the list | | **Enter** | Open the highlighted item or run the action | | **Tab** | Narrow to the highlighted type, use the highlighted record's actions, or browse a promotion's variations | | **Backspace** (empty search) | Remove the type or record chip and search everywhere | | **⌘Y** / **Ctrl+Y** | Show or hide the promotion preview | | **←** **→** | Switch variant in the preview | | **Esc** | Back out of the export, preview or chip you have open, one at a time. With none open, close the palette. | The footer of the palette shows the shortcuts you can use on the highlighted item. ## Troubleshooting | What you see | What to do | | - | - | | Search is unavailable right now. Please try again. | Adclear couldn't reach search. Wait a moment and type again. If it keeps happening, contact support. | | A record you expect is missing | Check you're in the right workspace. The palette only searches the workspace you're in, and only the types your role can view. | | **⌘K** does nothing | Click outside any comment or rich-text editor and try again, or use the search icon in the sidebar. | ## Still need help?
