# Carousel

> One or more frames grouped into a single promotion, reviewed and approved as one unit.

## What it is

One or more assets grouped into a single promotion. All frames are reviewed and approved as one unit.

## When to use it

* You have an Instagram or LinkedIn carousel where every frame is part of the same story
* The frames only make sense read in sequence

## Common mistake

<Warning>
  Using Carousel instead of [Variations](/upload-types/variations) or [Batch](/upload-types/batch) when you actually need the ability to approve frames individually. Once it's a carousel, a single decision covers everything.

## Important behaviour

<Note>
  All frames in a carousel are reviewed as a single unit. If you need to update one frame, you must re-upload the full set of frames as a new version.
</Note>

You cannot approve frames individually. If you need independent approval per asset, use [Variations](/upload-types/variations) instead.
