This page covers installation only. If you are using Adclear for the first time, start with Getting Started before installing the plugin.

Overview

The Adclear browser plugin lets marketing users submit web-based promotional content into Adclear without leaving the browser. Instead of taking a screenshot, exporting a PDF, and uploading it manually, you point the plugin at the page you want reviewed and the asset is captured and queued for review automatically. The plugin works alongside the rest of Adclear — submissions made through it follow the same review workflow as anything uploaded directly. See the Marketing User Guide for the full submission and review flow.

Supported browsers

The plugin is currently available for Chromium-based browsers — Chrome, Edge, and Brave. If you use a different browser, contact the Adclear support team for guidance on alternatives.

Installing the plugin

1

Open the Adclear plugin listing

Your Adclear admin will share the install link directly. Click through to the browser’s extension store listing.
2

Add to browser

Click Add to Chrome (or the equivalent in Edge or Brave). Confirm any permissions prompts that appear.
3

Pin the plugin to your toolbar

Click the puzzle-piece icon in your browser toolbar, find Adclear in the list, and click the pin icon next to it. This keeps the plugin visible for quick access.
4

Click the Adclear plugin icon and sign in with your usual Adclear credentials. Once signed in, the plugin is ready to use.

Using the plugin

1

Open the page you want to submit

Navigate to the live web page you want to send for review.
2

Click the Adclear plugin icon

The plugin opens with a panel showing the current page URL and capture options.
3

Select capture mode

Choose between capturing the full page, the visible viewport only, or a specific selected element.
4

Add promotion details

Fill in the required fields — promotion name, product, jurisdiction, and channel — just as you would when uploading directly. See the Marketing User Guide for guidance on each field.
5

Submit

Click Submit for Review. The page is captured, the promotion is created in your workspace, and you can track it from the Campaign Dashboard as normal.
When the page is live and final, the browser plugin or the Website Link upload option in Adclear is usually the cleanest route — Adclear captures the page exactly as it appears. For pages that are not yet live, see the Upload Quality Guide for guidance on file uploads.

Frequently asked questions

Confirm you are using the same email address registered with your Adclear account. If sign-in still fails, sign out of the plugin, reload the page, and sign in again. If the issue persists, contact the Adclear support team.
Yes — the plugin works on any supported browser regardless of device, as long as you sign in with your Adclear credentials. Submissions are tied to your account and your workspace.
The plugin captures a static snapshot of what’s visible. Video, audio, and interactive elements are not captured automatically — if disclosure information appears in a video, include it as a separate upload alongside the page capture. See the Upload Quality Guide.
Yes, as long as you are signed in to the page you are capturing. The plugin captures whatever your browser displays, including authenticated views.
Updates are pushed automatically by the browser. If you suspect you are running an out-of-date version, remove and reinstall the plugin from the same install link.
