Adclear’s settings are split into two areas: Your Account (personal settings that follow you everywhere) and Workspace Settings (settings that apply only to the workspace you’re currently in).
If you belong to more than one workspace, your account settings stay the same across all of them. Workspace settings are configured separately for each one.

Your Account

Profile, notifications, and security settings tied to you personally.

Workspace Settings

Team members, compliance rules, and integrations for your workspace.

Your Account

These settings apply to you personally, regardless of which workspace you’re in.

General

Update your personal profile so teammates can recognise you across Adclear.
Upload a profile photo to replace the default initials.
Format: JPEG or PNG. Maximum size: 5 MB.Square images work best. Adclear will crop non-square uploads to fit.
Set the first and last name that appears next to your activity. Both your first name and last name should be between 2 and 16 characters.

Notifications

Control how, and where, Adclear keeps you informed.
Connect your Slack account to receive Adclear alerts directly in Slack.
1

Connect Slack

Click Connect Slack and authorise Adclear to send you messages.
2

Choose a channel

Select which channel should receive workspace-level notifications (announcements that aren’t tied to a specific person).
3

Configure DM preferences

Decide which events trigger a direct message to you.
Once connected, you can fine-tune your DM preferences:

Marketing

Promotion status changes, and when you’re added as a collaborator.

Compliance

New submissions, reviewer assignments, escalations, escalation responses, and campaign deadline reminders.

Mentions

Get a DM whenever someone tags you in a comment or note.

Review reminders

Heads-up notifications before a review’s next due date.

Security

We strongly recommend keeping MFA enabled. It’s the single most effective way to prevent unauthorised access to your account.
Adclear supports TOTP-based two-factor authentication using apps like 1Password, Authy, or Google Authenticator.Toggle MFA on or off from this page. When enabled, you’ll be asked for a 6-digit code from your authenticator app each time you log in.

Workspace Settings

These settings apply only to the workspace you’re currently viewing. If you switch workspaces, you’ll see a different set of values here.

Team Members

Manage who has access to your workspace and what they can do.

View and search

See every member alongside their role and status (active or pending invite). Search by name or filter by role.

Invite teammates

Send invitations by email. Pending invites appear in the same list until accepted.

Roles and countries

Assign each member a role and the countries they’re permitted to review for. See the Roles and Permissions reference for what each role can do.

Workspace access

If your organisation has multiple workspaces, control which ones each member can enter.
Risk Acceptor is a designated person who can formally accept compliance risk on a promotion. They can sign off on a promotion proceeding even when a reviewer has flagged a concern. Assign this carefully; it’s typically reserved for senior compliance staff or legal. Read more in the Risk Acceptors guide.

Compliance

Configure how reviews are handled in your workspace.
Set the number of business days your team has to review a promotion after submission. For example, setting this to 5 means reviewers should complete their review within five business days of submission.
The SLA is used to drive deadline reminders. Reviewers and risk acceptors will get nudges as the deadline approaches.

External

Generate a shareable URL that affiliates and external partners can use to submit promotions directly into your workspace, with no Adclear login needed. The link opens the external submission form, which feeds straight into your workspace’s submissions queue.
https://adclear.app/submit/your-workspace-id

Copy submission link

Click the copy button next to the URL to grab the link in one click. Submissions arrive in your workspace with the partner already attributed.

Affiliates

Set workspace-wide defaults that pre-fill when a new affiliate submission comes in. These defaults save reviewers time and keep submission data consistent.
  • Default Channel. The ad channel the promotion will run on, for example social, display, or email.
  • Default Product. The product being promoted.
  • Default Jurisdiction. The country or region the promotion is intended for.
  • Default Targeting. The target markets for the promotion.
The Default Targeting field may not be visible in every workspace. If you don’t see it, it isn’t currently enabled for your account.
Affiliates can still override these defaults on individual submissions. They’re starting values, not locks.

Discord

Connect Adclear to a Discord server to monitor affiliate activity in real time and automatically flag potentially non-compliant messages.
1

Add a Discord server

Click Add server and provide:
Adclear provides a bot invite link with setup instructions on the Discord settings page. You’ll need server admin permissions to invite the bot.
2

Configure monitoring scope

Choose which channels and usernames Adclear should watch. Anything outside these is ignored.
3

Define affiliate link patterns

Add regex patterns that match the affiliate links you care about. When Adclear sees a matching link, it knows to evaluate the surrounding message for compliance. See the link pattern reference for examples and best practices.
\?aff_id=\d+
4

Manage Approved Copy

Build a library of pre-approved message templates. If a Discord message matches an entry in your Approved Copy library, Adclear won’t flag it as a violation, even if it contains an affiliate link.
Approved Copy is the easiest way to reduce false positives. Add your standard launch messages, weekly recap formats, and any other templates affiliates use repeatedly.
