MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard that AI assistants use to connect to other apps. When you connect Adclear, your assistant can find promotions, read feedback from Adclear AI and reviewers, upload promotions and read dashboard metrics. The assistant acts as you. It can see and do only what you can in the Adclear app, in the organisation you choose when you sign in.
MCP is in closed beta. To get access, contact your Adclear account manager.

What you can ask

Ask in your own words. The assistant chooses the tools. For example:
  • “Which of my promotions got new comments this week?”
  • “Summarise what Adclear AI found on the latest version of my summer savings promotion.”
  • “Upload this PDF as a new promotion and tell me what Adclear AI finds.”
  • “Pre-check this email copy before I upload it.”
  • “How many promotions did we approve last month?”
For the full list of actions and the permissions each one needs, see Tools and permissions.

Before you start

You need:
  • A client ID. Your Adclear account manager gives it to you when your organisation joins the beta. Keep it inside your organisation.
  • An Adclear account with access to at least one workspace.
  • Network access to files.adclear.ai, to upload files from your computer. Some assistants run code in a sandbox that blocks unknown sites. If uploads fail, ask your IT team to allow files.adclear.ai. Without it, you can still upload from a public link.
The server URL is:

Connect your assistant

Claude Team and Enterprise plans only. A Claude Owner adds Adclear once. Then each person connects their own Adclear account.
1

Add Adclear (Claude Owner, once)

Open Organization settings > Connectors, choose Add, then Custom > Web. Enter Adclear as the name and the server URL. For authentication, choose Use your own OAuth client. Enter the client ID and leave the client secret empty. Choose Add.
2

Connect your account (each person)

Open Customize > Connectors, find Adclear and choose Connect. Sign in to Adclear, choose your organisation and click Allow access.
3

Turn it on in a chat

In a chat, open the + menu, choose Connectors and turn on Adclear.

Check that it works

Ask your assistant: “Who am I signed in as in Adclear?” The answer shows your name, your organisation and role, and the workspace your requests use.

Change workspace

If your organisation has more than one workspace, ask: “List my Adclear workspaces”, then “Switch to the Brand workspace”. Adclear keeps your choice for later conversations until you choose a different one. If you lose access to that workspace, requests go to your organisation’s default workspace.

Frequently asked questions

In Claude and ChatGPT, an admin must add Adclear first. Ask your Claude Owner or ChatGPT workspace admin.
Check that the client ID is the one your Adclear contact gave you, with no extra spaces. In ChatGPT, also check that Adclear confirmed your callback URL.
The connection is tied to the organisation you chose at sign-in. Disconnect Adclear in your assistant, connect again and choose the other organisation.
Your account has no access to a workspace in this organisation. Ask your Adclear admin to give you access.
The assistant gets only the tools your role allows, and it loads the list when it connects. If your role changed, disconnect Adclear and connect again so the assistant loads the new list.
Your assistant probably cannot reach files.adclear.ai. Ask your IT team to allow it, or give the assistant a public link to the file.
Disconnect Adclear in your assistant and connect again. If it still fails, contact Adclear support. Include the time of the error and the correlation ID if the assistant shows one.
