Overview

Before you can upload or review promotional content in Adclear, you’ll need an account, access to the right workspace, and notifications configured so you don’t miss tasks or mentions. This page covers everything you need to get started. It should take less than ten minutes.
If your organisation uses single sign-on (SSO), you may be directed to sign in through your company’s identity provider instead. Contact your internal Adclear admin if you’re unsure which method applies to you.
Once you’re signed in, take a few minutes to read /how-roles-work to understand what your role can do, and /upload-types to learn the core concepts used throughout the platform.

Account setup

If you’ve been invited to Adclear, you’ll receive an email with a link to create your account. Follow the link and complete the steps below.
1

Enter your email and create a password

On the sign-up page, enter the email address your invitation was sent to. Choose a strong password that meets the requirements below, then click Continue.

4

You're in

You’ll be taken to your Adclear home screen, either My Tasks or the Promotion Dashboard, depending on your role. If you see a “No organisation found” message, your admin may need to complete your workspace assignment. Reach out to them directly.
When creating or resetting your password, it must:
  • Be at least 8 characters long
  • Contain at least one uppercase letter
  • Contain at least one number
  • Not appear in a known data breach
If your password doesn’t meet these requirements, Adclear will tell you exactly what needs to change before you can continue.

Set up your notifications

Adclear sends notifications by email and Slack to keep you on top of tasks, comments, mentions, and review activity. We strongly recommend configuring both before you start using the platform so nothing slips through.

Email notifications

Sent automatically to the email address on your account. No setup needed - manage your preferences in Settings.

Slack notifications

Available once an admin has connected your organisation’s Slack workspace. Channel and DM preferences are managed per user.

Slack notifications

If you’re a Compliance Admin or Marketing Admin, you can connect your organisation’s Slack workspace so everyone in Adclear receives notifications.
1

Open Slack Notifications in Settings

Go to Settings in Adclear and click Slack Notifications.
2

Add Adclear to Slack

Click Add to Slack, then Allow on the Slack authorisation page. You’ll be redirected back to Adclear once the app is installed.
3

Choose a notification channel

Select a Slack channel from the Connected Channels dropdown. This is where Adclear will post channel-wide notifications for your organisation.
To use a private channel or a channel shared across workspaces, you’ll need to invite the Adclear bot to the channel in Slack first. See the /settings for the full walkthrough.
Clicking Disconnect from Slack disables both channel and DM notifications for every user in your Adclear organisation. Only disconnect if you’re sure no one in your team relies on Slack notifications.
For the full Slack notifications walkthrough, including shared channels, private channels, and the complete list of DM notification types, see the /settings.
