The Adclear Chrome extension checks ad copy against your workspace rules without leaving the page you are working on. Highlight or paste text, run an evaluation in a side panel, and save the result to Adclear as a draft promotion when it is ready.
The extension is in closed beta. See Get access to request it for your team.

What you can do

Evaluate copy anywhere

Highlight text on any page, or paste it into the panel, and scan it against your workspace rules.

Private until you save

Evaluations are visible only to you. Reviewers see nothing until you save a draft to Adclear.

Save to Adclear

Turn a checked version into a draft promotion in your workspace with one click.

Feedback stays in sync

To Action, Dispute, and Reply actions on issues appear as comments on the promotion in the web app.

Get access

The extension is in closed beta. The Chrome Web Store listing stays hidden until Adclear adds your email address.
1

Request access

Speak to your Adclear contact about enabling the extension. Share the work email address of each person who needs it. Access is granted per person, so list everyone.
2

Wait for confirmation

Adclear adds each address to the beta list and confirms once it’s done.
3

Install from the Chrome Web Store

Open the Adclear listing in Chrome, signed in to the browser with your added work email, and click Add to Chrome.
4

Pin the extension

Click the puzzle icon in the Chrome toolbar and pin Adclear so the icon stays visible.
If the listing shows “item not found”, the Google account signed in to Chrome does not match an added email. Switch accounts or speak to your Adclear contact.

1

Open the panel

Click the Adclear icon in the Chrome toolbar. The side panel opens.
2

Click Sign in. A browser tab opens where you sign in with your Adclear account.
3

Return to the panel

After “You’re logged in!” appears, the tab closes on its own and the panel is ready to use.
Your session ends when you close the browser, and periodically for security. When the panel shows “Your Adclear session expired”, sign in again.

Choose your organization and workspace

The bar at the top of the panel shows your current organization and workspace. Click Switch to change them, or open Settings and use the Organization and Workspace dropdowns. Evaluations run against the rules of the selected workspace. The extension remembers your choice, and your scope picks per workspace, until you sign out.

Evaluate copy

The panel walks you through three steps: Add copy, Pick scope, and Results.
1

Add copy

Get text into the editor in either way:
  • Highlight text on any web page, right-click, and choose Evaluate with Adclear. The panel opens with the selection loaded.
  • Open the panel and paste or write the copy directly into the editor.
Copy must be between 5 and 20,000 characters.
2

Pick scope

Select the Channel, Product, and Jurisdiction the copy is for, and adjust Targeting if it applies. All three concrete picks are required. Adclear uses them to apply the right rules.
3

Evaluate

Click Evaluate. Progress streams into the panel while the evaluation runs. You can start another draft in the meantime; running evaluations continue under Evaluations in the header.
4

Read the results

Issues appear as cards from Adclear AI. Each card quotes the affected text, suggests a fix, and explains Why this matters, with the rules it relates to. Use Copy all to take every suggestion with you, or the copy button on a single card.

Drafts, versions, and saving to Adclear

Everything you evaluate stays private to you until you save it. The status dot above the editor shows where a draft stands. To iterate, click + to add a new version of the copy and evaluate again. The version picker shows V1, V2, and so on, with Latest marking the newest. When a version is ready:
1

Name the draft

Edit the title field above the results. It defaults to the first line of your copy.
2

Save to Adclear

Click Save to Adclear. The button requires a complete scope (product, channel, and jurisdiction).
3

Open it in Adclear

Click Go to Promotion to open the new draft in the web app. Every version you evaluated in the extension carries over as a version of the promotion.

Feedback and comment sync

Once a version is saved to Adclear, each issue card offers three actions: To Action (you will make the change), Dispute (you disagree), and Reply (add a comment).
  • Actions and replies from the extension appear as comments on the promotion in the web app, in the same threads your team already uses.
  • Responses made in the web app flow back the other way. Click Refresh from Adclear in the results view, or reopen the draft from History, to pull them in.
  • A decision made in the web app locks that issue’s buttons in the extension and shows who saved it.
Feedback buttons stay disabled on Private drafts. The panel prompts “Save to Adclear before giving feedback.”

History

Click History in the header to see your 20 most recent drafts for the selected organization and workspace, with their versions and statuses. History is tied to your Adclear account, not the browser, so it survives reinstalling the extension. Reopen any draft to keep iterating on it.

Supported content and limits

Image, video, and file evaluation are not available in the extension. Upload those through the web app instead. See Upload types.

What the extension can read

The extension reads a page’s content only when you highlight text and choose Evaluate with Adclear. It does not track your browsing, and it talks only to Adclear. It stores your sign-in for the browser session and remembers your workspace and scope choices.

Troubleshooting

Your Google account has not been added to the beta yet, or Chrome is signed in with a different account. Check the account, or speak to your Adclear contact.
The copy needs at least 5 characters, and Channel, Product, and Jurisdiction must all be selected.
Your account has no workspace access in the selected organization. Ask your workspace admin to grant it.
Too many requests at once. Wait a moment and try again.
