Overview

Every promotion in Adclear moves through a series of statuses as it progresses from creation through to a final review decision. Understanding what each status means — and who is responsible at each stage — helps both marketing and compliance users track content efficiently.
Some statuses (Escalated and Reviewing Risk) are only available if your workspace has those features enabled. If you don’t see them, they may not be active for your organisation.

Status Flow

A promotion typically follows this path:
Draft → Pending Review → In Review → Approved
                                   → Rejected
→ Changes Needed → (resubmit) → Pending Review
                                   → Escalated → Pending Review
→ Reviewing Risk → Changes Needed
You can filter the Campaign Dashboard by status to quickly find promotions at any stage. Saved views let you persist your most-used filter combinations — for example, a view scoped to Pending Review for your jurisdiction.

Statuses by role

What marketing users will see on their tasks

Marketing users see a promotion on their tasks when action is required from them:
  • Rejected — review the compliance user’s comments and decide whether to create a new version
  • Changes Needed — make the requested amendments and resubmit
Promotions in Pending Review, In Review, Approved, Escalated, or Reviewing Risk are visible on the Campaign Dashboard but don’t appear on the marketing user’s tasks.

What compliance users will see on their tasks

Compliance users see a promotion on their tasks when it’s ready for review:
  • Pending Review (unassigned, or assigned specifically to them)
  • Returned after escalation (Pending Review again)
Promotions assigned to a different named reviewer will not appear in a compliance user’s tasks.
