Making a review decision

Open the promotion

From My Tasks or the Promotion Dashboard, click the promotion to open it.

Review the asset and AI suggestions

The Submit for Review page shows the promotion alongside AI-generated compliance suggestions. Review both carefully. Check the upload quality before proceeding. If the asset appears blurry, cropped, or incomplete, consider requesting a higher-quality resubmission rather than making a final decision.

Interact with the AI comments

Each AI comment needs an action: agree, dismiss, or mark as relevant but not required. The substance of how you respond shapes how Adclear’s agents calibrate over time. See Helping Adclear Learn for the full mechanics, and what strong responses look like.

Add a comment where needed

Leave a comment explaining your decision, especially for rejections, change requests, or dismissed AI suggestions. Be specific about what needs to change and where. The uploader will see this.

Select your decision

Click Approve, Conditionally Approve, Reject, or Request Changes.

Decision outcomes

After any decision, you are recorded as the reviewer on the promotion. When you select Conditionally Approve, enter a clear condition in the dialog. Adclear adds it to the promotion as your comment, so the uploader can see what must change. The next version may be eligible for self-approval after the uploader addresses that condition.
Reject signals the promotion has failed review and is not suitable as submitted. Request Changes signals that specific amendments are needed before it can be approved. Both result in the promotion appearing on the uploader’s tasks with your comments visible, but they communicate different things about the path forward.

Reviewing variations

Each variation appears as its own task and can be reviewed independently or together.
  • You can apply different decisions to each variation. For example, approve one and request changes on another.
  • You can also approve all variations at once if appropriate. Use the bulk approval option from the variation group view.
  • If a specific reviewer was assigned to a variation, the variation surfaces in their tasks. Other reviewers with permission for the relevant market can still pick it up.
  • Uploaders may submit variations individually or all at once. You may see them arrive in your tasks separately or together.
Apply comments and decisions per variation so Adclear can learn from each one individually.

Evergreen promotions

Evergreen promotions require periodic re-review. When you approve one, Adclear will prompt you to set the next review date.
  • If the next review date is today or has passed, a pop-up will appear requiring you to set a new date before approval can complete. You cannot skip this step.
  • If the next review date is in the future, approval proceeds normally.
The uploader can see the evergreen toggle and the next review date but cannot edit it.
